I'm interested in the Neuroscience Lead role for Neuro Soc as my skills + experience align well with the responsibilities of this position. As Regional Lead + University Ambassador for NANSIG (Neurology & Neurosurgery Interest Group), I've honed strong organisational, teamwork & leadership abilities, managing communications, promoting events + building connections with experts. Through NANSIG’s mentorship program, and experience in conducting and presenting research, I’ve expanded my professional network in this field, which I can leverage to secure speakers, workshop leads and mentors for NeuroSoc's members.

My experience in committees, including serving as Publicity Officer has strengthened my skills in event promotion & management. I was instrumental in driving record attendance & will apply these skills to attract potential speakers and workshop leads. As DermSoc Secretary I understand the importance of clear, timely communication for a smooth conference experience. I’m prompt & efficient in responding to all communications and will maintain the same standard in this role.

Ideas I’d like to introduce include:

• leverage my established professional network to secure mentors for a mentorship program connecting students with neurologists
• diverse lectures (paediatric neurology, neuroimmunology)
• new workshops (craniotomy, diamond drill, spinal fixation)
• neurology, neurosurgery, neuroimaging teaching series
• revision crash course
• library of videos and resources on essential skills + workshop demonstrations accessible to all attendees
• patient experience panel + Q&A
