Paediatrics: Community & Outreach Vice-Chair

Hi, I’m Jamminee :) a second-year medical student, and I’m excited to run for Community & Outreach Vice Chair!

Volunteering with the British Heart Foundation has shown me the power of charitable organisations in making a real difference. I hope to use this experience to build strong partnerships for paediatric outreach, ensuring we expand our impact and reach more communities.

I’m passionate about connecting with schools and supporting aspiring medical students through engaging workshops and talks. Making medicine accessible to everyone is something I deeply care about, and I aim to collaborate with widening participation programs to help students from diverse backgrounds break into medicine.

With experience as a SEN teaching assistant, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children with different learning needs, developing strong communication and relationship-building skills. This has given me the confidence to support and encourage students while raising awareness about the importance of their health.

I know firsthand how challenging the medical school application process can be, so if elected, I will organise mock interview workshops to help students refine their interpersonal skills and navigate the different stages of applying.

I’m excited to work alongside the team to support other students and I would really appreciate your vote!! Thank you for your consideration :)
