ENT ( Ear Nose and Throat) Society : Events Officer

Hi everyone!

My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Events Officer for the ENT Society next year!

ENT is a fascinating and dynamic specialty, covering everything from airway management to intricate head & neck surgery. Our BRS teaching on ENT really sparked my passion for the field, and I want to help more students explore this specialty through engaging, high-quality events that showcase just how exciting ENT can be.

One of my key goals as Events Officer would be to organise an ENT Conference, bringing together leading specialists, surgeons, and students to discuss cutting-edge advancements, career pathways, and hands-on skills workshops. Alongside this, I’d love to run:

✅ Surgical skills workshops focusing on core ENT techniques.
✅ Career insight talks with ENT surgeons across different subspecialties.
✅ Case-based teaching sessions to link ENT concepts to clinical practice.
✅ Collaborations with other societies to highlight the role of ENT in multidisciplinary care.

I have strong leadership and organisational skills from my experience as cricket captain for my local team, where I managed a team and coordinated events. My experience in mentoring and tutoring has also helped me develop communication and planning skills, ensuring that events are well-structured, engaging, and beneficial for students.
