Antonia Chung

Hi everyone! My name is Antonia Chung, and I’m a second-year excited to be running for the position of Academic Officer in the Transplant and Vascular Society🩸

Attending the Transplant and Vascular Surgery Symposium opened my eyes to the complexity and innovation within these fields. From life-saving transplants to intricate vascular procedures, I was fascinated by the breadth of the specialty. This experience inspired me to get involved in the society, and now I would love the opportunity to help others explore these exciting areas of medicine.

As Academic Officer, I will:

- 📚Organise tutorials, workshops, and journal clubs to enhance learning opportunities

- Expand access to research and mentorship opportunities for students at all levels.

- 🩺 Host expert speaker events covering career advice, cutting-edge research, and surgical techniques.

- Develop educational resources to help students explore transplant and vascular surgery.

I have experience in organising events and liaising with speakers through my involvement in other societies. My organisational and leadership skills will help me deliver high-quality academic initiatives. Most importantly, I am passionate about medical education and committed to developing an engaging and supportive learning environment.
