Transplant and Vascular Society: Organ and Blood Donation Campaign Chair

Hi everyone! I’m Bethany and I’m excited to be running for Organ and Blood Donation Campaign Chair. I am passionate about the transformative power of donation in healthcare and thus I will guarantee my full dedication to this role. This is how I will do so:

· Establish, maintain and grow relationships with sponsors. I will ensure this by:

· Approaching new charities such as Antony Nolan, DKMS, Live Life Give Life and BAME transplant alliance

· Close collaboration and involvement of sponsors on our fundraising campaigns so that our goals and strategies are aligned

· Frequent communication of the progress and successes of our campaigns to sponsors

· Liaising with publicity officer about effective promotion of our sponsor charities using social media, newsletters and more

· Offering access to alumni network of icsm

· Talks during conferences by blood and organ donation experts

· Regular fundraising campaigns via social events (in collaboration with other societies that have pre-established audiences)

· Founding an education programme run by icsm medical students about blood and organ donation at local secondary schools

· Promotion of blood and organ donation at our freshers fair to target medics and non-medics specifically for sign ups to be blood donors in collaboration with NHS blood and transplant

· Establish links with university student education-led charity WeAreDonors

Using leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills that I have developed as president of Mauritian society, Playteam leader and N4Y group leader, I promise to dedicate myself to these implementations.
