Who I Am

I am Ming, running for Co-Chair of the AI Society with Shafi to expand education, industry collaborations, and flagship events. AI is transforming industries, and our society must be at the forefront of learning, research, and innovation.

Education – Practical and Industry-Driven Learning

To ensure our members gain real-world AI expertise, I will introduce structured learning programs in collaboration with leading industry and research partners. The AI Fundamentals & Advanced Applications series will provide a deep dive into machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and multimodal AI, equipping students with the technical foundations needed to excel in the field. Developed with Camel.ai, Mistral, Anthropic, and OpenAI, this program will offer hands-on projects, mentorship, and direct career opportunities.

Annual AI Hackathon – A Flagship Event

AI innovation is accelerating, and we must create opportunities for builders. I will establish our AI Hackathon as an annual premier event, ensuring it provides direct access to top AI incubators and VCs, giving winners the opportunity to scale their ideas beyond the hackathon. The hackathon will serve as a launchpad for real-world impact and product innovation, connecting participants with funding, mentorship, and potential employment opportunities.

Stronger Industry Partnerships

To further strengthen our society, I will work on deepening our existing partnerships with research labs, startups, and corporate AI teams. This will ensure our members gain exclusive access to internships, job opportunities, and research collaborations with academic institutions and industry leaders.
