Hello everyone!

My name is Beanice, a first-year student studying Economics, Finance & Data Science. AI is one of the most rapidly growing fields today, and I want to ensure our society has the financial backing and strategic funding to innovate, learn, and grow. I’m committed to securing funding for cutting-edge projects, workshops, and hackathons to keep our society at the forefront of technological advancements.

I have hands-on experience managing finances through my role as Treasurer for various projects, particularly food drives, where I was responsible for budgeting, tracking donations and ensuring efficient allocation of funds. Additionally, I have managed my own online shop selling handwritten Chinese calligraphy, where I handled pricing strategies and revenue tracking while balancing creativity with financial sustainability.

My goals:

1. I’ll ensure our funds are allocated effectively and transparently, so that members can see where every pound is spent.
2. Considering how AI is driven by collaboration, I aim to connect with tech firms, startups, and Imperial’s research hubs to unlock funding and sponsorships for our society.
3. I will create a long-term financial plan that future Treasurers can follow, ensuring AI Society remains financially strong for years to come.

With my financial expertise, strategic mindset, and enthusiasm for AI, I will ensure we maximise funding, expand our impact, and create exciting opportunities for all members.
