A plain bowl of rice requires just two materials: 🌾rice🌾 and 🌊water🌊. But the time used to cook the rice makes all the difference. Where am I going with this? As a person who loves working with numbers, I obtained a simple equation for my new rice cooker based on sample cooking times to obtain the perfect servings (minutes based on cups of rice): t(c) = 20.9 ln(0.5 c + 1.7) + 11.9.

Why you should've asked sooner! I served as events manager for my school’s local chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, ensuring that money goes to the right places (performance equipment, brochures, food). As founder of the Remote-Controlled Aviation club (in a different school), I was in constant communication with our finance office to make aeronautical design accessible to all students. Now at Imperial, one of my roles in ICAV is to provide cost estimates and meet budget constraints for the manufacture of an eVTOL emergency response aircraft.
