Yao Tong

Hello all! My name is Yao Tong, and I am a frequent attendee of Wu Shu Kwan!

Although this is my first year at Imperial, I have had plenty of experience handling finances and planning events. From 2021 to 2024, I organized the budget, communicated with sponsors, and purchased equipment as the lead officer of my high school's Poi Club (a form of dance). In addition, I collaborated with a variety of student teams -- include my high school's Student Council -- to plan and schedule performance events during International Nights, Talent Shows, and more.

As a result, I'm confident I have the skills necessary to organize Kung Fu's finances across all styles and classes, whether it's managing class fees, budgeting for new equipment, or communicating with Imperial College Union.

In addition, I'll be looking for ways to subsidize some of the classes' membership fees to increase participation in all styles of Kung Fu!
