Ciao everyone, I'm fresher Aashir and I'm running to be your secretary.

I know the role doesn't seem to have the biggest spotlight. But hear me out: if you’ve ever been to an event with no room booked or 3 people showing up because nobody knew when it was... that’s what I’m here to fix.

I'm looking to help everyone in the MathSoc committee with making their ideas come to life. More importantly, I want the end product to be maximum engagement with the career and social events that the society will host next year.

Looking into the immediate future, here what I'll closely work on:

• Actively delivering on promised biweekly elite social events, whether it be Metric bar nights or hopefully a boat party (fingers crossed🤞)
• Help organise major glow-up of the MathSoc website, with the promised diverse alumni network and career guidance

Hopefully, with my renowned calmness (as you can see in this picture) and strong eagerness to work hard on this role, the committee will have better communication and organisation than some of our exam schedules.

This is quite an exciting challenge and opportunity, so yeah I truly appreciate and value your vote so that MathSoc can be an overwhelming success :)
