If you were in the 2s this year, you’ve definitely already had one of my emails—team sheets, match reports and the odd “sorry, you’ve been dropped” message (with love). I’ve probably sent more team sheets than I’ve scored runs this season—and I’ve played 16 games. So I feel pretty well suited to the role of Secretary.

The role’s all about keeping the club ticking—newsletters, emails, admin, chasing people for replies, sorting merch and so on. I’ve already been doing a lot of that as 2s captain, so stepping into Secretary feels like a natural next move.

One of the best parts of this year has been getting to know basically the whole club—whether it’s the 1s chasing BUCS glory (hopefully this Wednesday) or the Club XI stalwarts doing it for the love of the game. I know how to get people involved and keep things running behind the scenes without needing a weekly reminder.

I’ll also be handling merch—yes, that means probably dealing with Shrey. I’ll do my best to get your stash to you before the season ends… or at least before you graduate.

IC Cricket’s been a huge part of my time at uni, and I’d love to keep playing a role in making it fun, organised, and inclusive for everyone.
