As CGCU President and Vice President, we’ve spent the past year working tirelessly to represent and support the engineering student body, delivering impactful events, advocating for student needs, and building meaningful relationships with industry. We’re now excited to bring that same dedication, experience, and network directly to the Civil Engineering Society as your Industrial Liaison Officers.

Together, we’ve hosted events such as the Welcome dinner, Hackathons & Makethons, and Alumni bar nights, working with companies ranging from startups to global engineering firms. Through this, we’ve developed a strong understanding of what sponsors are looking for and what students need to succeed. We’re confident in our ability to secure new sponsorships, organise valuable industry events, and connect civil engineering students with employers and alumni in meaningful ways.

If elected, our priority will be to deliver a calendar of engaging, career-focused events for civil eng students that directly benefit your personal and professional development. We’ll also work closely with the department, alumni, and Careers Service to ensure our initiatives are aligned and impactful. With our experience and connections, we’re ready to build bridges between you and the industry — and we’re excited for what we can achieve together.
