IQ (Imperial College LGBT+): Web and Publicity Officer

Heya!

I’m Sean, you’ve probably seen me lurking in the group chat or popping up at Heaven nights, karaoke, or board games, usually trying (and sometimes failing) to get people involved. I properly joined IQ in first year and loved it so much I ended up on general committee this year.

IQ has such a good vibe, it’s full of genuinely lovely people and fun events, and I’d love to help make that community even stronger. So! I’m running for Web & Publicity Officer!!!

I want to help keep everyone more in the loop and make it easier for new people to get involved, bc who wouldn't want more queer friends and super fun socials?

Here’s what I’d love to do:

  1. Set up a mailing list so you actually know what’s coming up

  2. Boost our social media + make it easier to find for newcomers

  3. Reach out to other London uni queer socs for some joined-up joy

  4. Keep throwing slightly unhinged (but hopefully iconic) events and club nights – I’ll still be on committee after all ;)

IQ has been such a lovely part of my uni experience, and I just want to help more people find that kind of joy.
