I would like to join Muslim Medics because they are a key part of every Imperial medical student’s journey. From Year 1, I’ve been a huge fan of their Freshers events and have found their tutorials really beneficial throughout the years. I’d love to be part of this community and use my creative skills within the society.
I really enjoyed being ISoc’s Publicity Officer in second year and would love to take on the same role for MM. I believe I’d be well-suited to the position, as I like to think of myself as an artist—with a strong interest in photography and visual design. These skills would help me create engaging Freshers welcome booklets and promotional content for social media.
During my time as ISoc’s publicity officer, I gained lots of experience using Canva and created cohesive posts for various campaigns throughout the year. II also have experience with Procreate, which came in handy last year for more artistic projects. In terms of booklet and flyer design, I’ve previously created promotional material for small businesses and institutions, which I believe is directly transferable to this role.
As an Instagram user, I’m confident using the platform’s features—like scheduling posts, tagging, and creating interactive content—so I’d like to think of myself as tech-savvy lol.
To conclude, it would be an honour to be MM’s Publicity Officer and use my creative skills to contribute to a society that does so much for medical students. :D
