Saranthaki Parameswaran
Vanakkam everyone! I’m Saranthaki, and I’m excited to be running for Head of Subcommittee next year.
Being part of subcom this past year has been such a highlight — I’ve met so many lovely people and felt a real sense of community. I especially loved helping organise events like Games Night and MM, and working closely with Tarni gave me insight into what this role involves: managing tasks, supporting the team, and being someone approachable and dependable.
What drives me most is creating a space where everyone feels they truly belong. As a mentor and house ambassador in sixth form, I supported younger students in building confidence and finding their place — a mindset I’d love to bring into this role.
If elected, I’ll work hard to:
- Build a welcoming, close-knit subcommittee where everyone feels valued and encouraged.
- Be a reliable bridge between the committee and subcom, ensuring clear communication.
- Support each member’s ideas and growth, just as I’ve done in past leadership roles.
To help freshers stay connected beyond first term, I also plan to introduce more events throughout the year — like a subcom picnic at Hyde Park, subcom potlucks, and a subcom-led TSoc night (e.g. games or movie night).
TSoc has given me so much, and I’d love the chance to give back by helping others feel just as included and inspired. I’m all in — and I’d really appreciate your vote.
Thank you!
