Madura Vigneswaran

Hi, I’m Madura and I would love to run for sponsorship this year as I believe I am well suited for this role given my skillset. I am able to communicate well with not only my team members but also with the public, which I was able to recognise the importance of and learn through the sponsorship hunt.

Helping out at the hunt gave me an insight into this role. I was able to talk to workers within the tamil stores and market the showcase by explaining what we do and why. I also realised that this role requires a lot of resilience, which I have. There were many times where we were rejected, but I realised that it was important to keep trying in order to get as many sponsors as possible.

Through helping out at megamalai, I have realised that teamwork is so important in order for the show to be running smoothly, which I was able to further develop through being part of subcommittee. I will make sure that I not only listen to other people but also contribute ideas wherever possible. In addition, I would love to be part of this committee to display my tamil identity and share my culture with others.
