Hi! I’m Simran.

I would love to be the secretary for Pharmacology society as I think Pharmacology is one of the most exciting parts of second year. I worked as a Pharmacy Assistant throughout Sixth Form and have really enjoyed finding out as much as I can about pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

I believe I would do a great job as Secretary as I have good organisational skills further developed by my work in Teddy Bear Hospital over the past year. I have been in Committee for Teddy Bear Hospital as an Equipment Officer which required me to bring equipment to each and every primary school visit. I was also responsible for counting, monitoring and paying for new equipment. I am financially aware of how to use Eactivities as I have to had to make many claims for Ubers and equipment. I possess great coordination skills and would be able to get used to any new systems necessary quickly.

I am especially interested in Pharmacology society’s teaching opportunities due to my personal love of the subject, to the extent I have emailed faculty about rheumatoid arthritis not being treated chronically by NSAIDs and getting that changed before our second year exams! I hope you’ll consider me to be your secretary next year.
