Lavanya Kallamvelli Vasanth

Vanakkam! I am Lavanya, and I am thrilled to run for the Head of Marketing for the following year! As a passionate member of our society and subcommittee, with an interest in social media and advertising, I believe that this role would be suitable for me to engage with to the best of my ability. I have prior practical experience assisting the marketing team on the Subcommittee, where I was involved in organising the annual games night. I took an interest in our engagement on different social media platforms, such as the use of a trending TikTok audio for filming parts of the night and creating a vibrant and engaging poster for the advertising Instagram posts for the event. Additionally, I gained experience in marketing working with my Young Enterprise company at school, which further helped me refine some of the marketing strategies and crucial skills required in advertising. Since I also understand the importance of strong promotion and clear communication, I hope to bring my creativity and skills to ensure all our society’s events get the visibility and recognition they deserve. As one of the marketing heads, I hope to enhance the engagement with our society’s events, specifically through creating new and unique posts for our target audience.
