Mayurigaa Srirangathasan

Vanakkam! I’m Mayurigaa and I’m runnning to be Head of Marketing for Tamil Society for the next year.

As someone who is deeply rooted in their Tamil culture, I loved engaging with all the events and talks that our society has offered this year and now I would love to be part of a team that makes it happen.

As a subcommittee member, I have gained a great insight into how our society co-ordinates. By developing essential skills such as teamwork and communication, I believe I can take on challenges by coming together as a team. I have been also part of the admin team for Games Night - sorting out ticket prices, food and drinks. I also took the initiative to manage the Instagram posts for this night and filmed creative TikToks to improve engagement.

Beyond subcommittee, I participated in Megamaalai, where I learnt the importance of commitment and time management. I also learnt how much dedication and effort goes into making the show a success. By being part of committee, I can take part in behind the scenes and help to promote this event. I believe I can create appealing content from professional posters and advertisements to entertaining Tiktoks and Instagram posts.

As Head of Marketing, I will bring creativity, enthusiasm and consistency to help showcase our society in the best way possible. I look forward to being part of a community that encourages culture and fosters connections.
