Why I Want to Run for VP
This year, the Management Society made a huge difference to my experience at the Business School - from the revision sessions during exam season to the support for choosing our final groups. I’m running for VP because I would love to support the next cohort in navigating what is a challenging but rewarding year. I have been through the highs and lows of the programme and I am excited to use that to my advantage in guiding the new cohort and to help lead this society.
My experience
Having spent the year as SSC Academic Rep, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with staff and understand the inner-workings of the Business School, which has been an invaluable stepping stone for the role of VP. Equally, I have always tried to be a friendly and approachable face that people can turn to for support. As VP, I am looking forward to building on this, working closely with the Management Society to ensure the new cohort receives the best possible support.
What I Plan to Do:
If elected, I’ll:
-
Create a live, up-to-date notebank including notes, advice and especially more past paper questions
- Introduce an Alumni Day where current students get to meet Alumni from the iBSc/JH Management programme and find inspiration from their journeys since leaving the Business School
-
Run more coursework and exam prep sessions tailored to each module
-
Organise talks for JH and iBSc students exploring career options beyond medicine
Thank you!
