Hello everyone,

If I could share even a tiny bit of the joy I feel when dancing as a part of this society with other people, I would jump at the chance. This is what the role of event officer would mean to me. This society has taught me to feel the music and build a connection with the person I am dancing with, and I hope to plan events to inspire that.

I understand the time management and commitment that this wonderful organisation requires as I have experience as former chair of my school council last year and as a current student ambassador. Not much beats the feeling of planning an event whether it be a school dance, a tutoring session or sports tournament and seeing it all come together and getting people excited.

As events officer, continuing the Latin band, engaging people in the music and even investing in instruments for the society would be a priority of mine. I would plan the infamous Halloween and Christmas events, taking suggestions from you all and as an avid crocheter, I would add a personal touch by crocheting some decorations.

I still have a lot to learn, and I am in awe of all of you when you dance. I hope to grow the vibrant community of this society and welcome your suggestions as well as getting better acquainted with the Salsa and Bachata and ballroom sides.
