Hi guys!

I’m Ugas and I’m running to be your next Vice President.

This year as Head of Acts, I played a key role in the organisation of MM. Working alongside the Heads of MM, I was involved with everything from liaising with choreographers and performers to supporting the processing of sweater and jogger orders. When unexpected challenges came up throughout the year, such as personal issues that affected entire teams, I worked with the rest of committee to sort them out so that everything ran as smoothly as possible. I was also present at many auditions and act reveal shootings on weekends to make sure no issues arose.

At the start of the year, I also took on the responsibility of dealing with room booking issues that came up. This meant speaking to the college union to find solutions to ensure that auditions could go ahead, giving me valuable experience handling the kind of challenges that come up at that level, which will be helpful if I were to be elected.

As Vice President, I’ll use what I’ve learned to keep the day-to-day running of the society on track and make sure everyone’s ideas and concerns are taken seriously. I want to make sure every committee member feels supported and that our events are the best they can be.

I’m looking forward to building on everything we’ve achieved this year and helping the society grow in ways that make it even more exciting and inclusive.
