我是来自MEng Biomedical Engineering 的徐知己，非常荣幸参与本次帝国理工中国学联文化部副部长的竞选。
作为文化部副部长候选人，我的目标是打造一个更有温度、更有凝聚力、更有文化底蕴的学联文化平台，为帝国理工的中国学子提供丰富多样的文化活动与情感联结机会，增强归属感、认同感和自豪感。
在过去的学习和生活中，我曾积极参与/组织过多个校园文化活动，不仅积累了丰富的组织经验，也深刻理解到文化活动在留学生活中的独特价值。
如果当选，我将致力于：
- 策划更高质量、更具创意的文化活动，例如节日庆典、传统手工艺体验、电影放映与讨论、音乐与舞蹈活动等；
- 推动中英文化交流平台建设，让中华文化被更多人了解与欣赏；
- 利用公众号、视频与影像记录学联文化，打造独特的校园记忆。
我深知文化工作不仅是热闹和组织，更是一种情感与精神的传递。我相信，凭借我的责任感、创造力与对文化的热爱，能够为中国学联注入更多活力与温度。

Dear fellow students,
My name is Zhiji Xu, currently pursuing MEng Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London. I am truly honoured to run for the position of Deputy Head of the Culture Department in the Chinese Society.
As a candidate, my vision is to create a warmer, more inclusive, and culturally enriching platform that brings students together through meaningful cultural activities and fosters a strong sense of belonging, identity, and pride among Chinese students at Imperial.
Having participated in and helped organise various cultural events. I have gained valuable experience and a deep appreciation for how cultural events can enhance our overseas student life.
If elected, I will strive to:
- Plan high-quality, creative, and engaging events such as traditional celebrations, art exhibitions, music & dance showcases, and film nights;
- Promote cultural exchange between Chinese and non-Chinese students, raising awareness and appreciation of Chinese culture;
- Develop a multimedia communication channel (WeChat, video, podcast, etc.) to document and share the culture and spirit of our community.
I understand that cultural work is not only about events, but also about connecting people’s emotions and values. With passion, creativity, and commitment, I hope to bring genuine impact and new energy to our society.
