Hi I’m Carla and I’m running for Education Officer!
I have just completed my year intercalating in management and I am passionate about ensuring incoming students are able to enjoy the year as much as I did.
About me:
Being Chair of the Plastic Surgery Society provided me with extensive experience in designing and implementing academic initiatives, including the establishment of a teaching series that garnered participation from medical students across the UK and even internationally.
In addition to this, I have overseen the organisation of three successful conferences, which has taught me how to deliver engaging and impactful educational experiences for students.
My plans:
As Education Officer, I want to ensure that the Management Society offers structured and relevant opportunities for its members. To achieve this, I will work towards the following initiative:
- Creation of a Note and Past Paper Bank: Formed of a selection of exam-style questions and notes for each module which can be accessed from the beginning of the year by all students.
- Student-Led Tutorial Sessions: Organising lectures to tackle difficult concepts and course content before exams led by past management students
- Extensive Final Project Support: Support from idea to submission via guides and anonymous questions box
- A month-by-month breakdown forming a structured timeline guide
- Anonymous questions box so students are able to ask anything at any point in the year without any pressure!
The management year is tough for everyone, but with academic support throughout we can make it less stressful and more rewarding !
