Heyy! I'm Chris, a 1st year Biochemistry student. I would like to put myself forward for Synbic Events Officer.
I am suitable for the role for the following reasons:
I am very good at communication. I would love to get in touch with other researchers and invite them to present us with their amazing work, as well as providing a chance for networking. I would also love to collaborate with other societies to organise multidisciplinary events.
I am very creative. I would love to organise more new exciting special events on top of our weekly seminars, synbio-themed lab seminars, talks and workshops. I would also love to organise some career-related events to help our members with internships.
I work very well in a team and I am very responsible. I would collaborate with my partner to bring the best experiences to all the Synbic members and be competent for this position.
I also had experiences in organising club events in my old school as well as some charity works.
In the past year, I have attended a large number of Synbic events, therefore I am fully aware of the role of this position. I would love to contribute more to our lovely current ones, and introducing more fun, social, informative events for everyone.
