Music (ICSM): Academic Officer

Hello music society! My name is Sarah and I would love to be next year’s academic officer.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last three years in this society, both on the committee and as a loyal member of choir. This society has brought me so many new and valuable experiences and endearing friendships, and I would love to continue to give back through this new role!

The role of academic officer is vital within the society, and provides such a high level of academic support to all our students, making navigating med school so much easier. Having been choir manager (#samybong) and fresher on committee, I’ve gained key insight and knowledge on how this society is run, and what works well to keep members engaged and happy, and believe my organisational skills are perfectly suited for this role. I’d also love to be the friendly face that people can rely on and come to if they have any questions.

As academic officer, I will strive to continue in Alyssa’s steps and ensure well-organised:

Tutoring schemes (CPA, OSCE, PACES)
High quality in-person mocks and teaching sessions
Online tutorials and other key sessions (e.g. BSc advice)
Readily available and up-to-date academic resources for both students and tutors
