Heyy! I am Chris, a 1st year Biochemistry student. I would like to put myself forward for Clinical Genetics Journal Club Coordinator.
I am suitable for the role for the following reasons:
I am very good at communication and I am very creative. I would love organise weekly journal club session and collaborate with our members to lead the session. If one of our member has a particular interst towards a specific journal or a topic, I would ask our members to vote at the end of the session to discuss together for next week's journal.
I had experiences be part of Journal Club. I used to be the President of Journal Club in my old school for 2 years. During those 2 years, I have led weekly journal club sessions as well as aiding the teacher to explain complicated concepts to lower years. I believe I am fully aware of the role of this position.
I am very good at teamwork and I am very responsible. I would ensure a suitable room is prebooked before the session and collaborate with other committee members to email all our members all the info of this week's Journal Club.
I would love to contribute more to our Journal Club, organising fun, informative, multidiscplinary sessions.
VOTE FOR ME!
