Hey everyone! I’m Gerald, a first-year Biochemistry student, and I’m running for the role of RCSU Deputy Science Challenge Chair.

I’m excited to apply for the role of Deputy Science Challenge Chair because I believe in the influence of academic competitions to inspire and showcase the talent of our peers. The Science Challenge is a prestigious event that highlights the best of student intellect and creativity, and I would love to contribute to its continued success. As Deputy Chair, my goal would be to support the Chair in organizing every aspect of the competition, ensuring that the event runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.

One of my key contributions would be helping to streamline the organization of the competition. I will work alongside the Chair to manage the planning stages, especially ensuring that everything is set up well in advance, including reaching out to potential judges and ensuring that all materials and deadlines are in place.

In my role, I would also focus on maintaining clear communication across all teams, ensuring that every stage of the competition is executed seamlessly. Whether it’s coordinating with the judges, supporting participants, or assisting in the final event, I am committed to being proactive and reliable. The Science Challenge is an exciting opportunity to engage with some of the brightest minds in the field, and I would be thrilled to play a key role in organizing and supporting an event that celebrates academic excellence and fosters a love of science in our community.
