First Aid: Unit Fundraising Lead

As a passionate member of the First Aid Society, I believe St John's Ambulance should be accessible, well-resourced, and visible, both across our campus and in the London community. To achieve this, we need strong, consistent fundraising. I’m ready to lead that effort.

I have experience organizing community events, including coordinating my high school’s Model UN conferences (which is exactly how the cool kids spent their weekends). Through this role, I learned how to manage logistics, communicate clearly with different teams, and keep things running smoothly. Most importantly, it taught me how to lead structured, collaborative efforts, skills I’ll bring to planning successful fundraising events for our unit.

And not to brag, but I once raised $50 for a dog shelter selling lemonade as a kindergartener. If I can handle that, I can handle anything.

If elected, I will:

Organize regular and varied fundraising events that are fun, inclusive, and impactful
Seek out partnerships with local businesses and student groups to boost visibility and support
Maintain transparency and open communication with the committee about financial goals and progress

First aid is about being prepared. As Fundraising Lead, I’ll make sure we’re financially ready to support our unit, expand our reach, and keep making a difference.
