I’m Rustam, an incoming second-year Economics, Finance & Data Science student who arrived at Imperial determined to turn curiosity into opportunity. After short stints benchmarking banks at Deloitte and helping build macro-forecast models at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, I realised how quickly doors open when someone inside a firm is willing to listen. My goal is to open those doors for every member of the Investment Society.
As Head of Sell-Side Corporate Relations I will focus on three deliverables. First, a rolling calendar of “insider evenings” where analysts and associates share unfiltered stories of their first year on the job. Second, small-group skill clinics—CV reviews, mock technicals and coffee-chat practice—run by alumni from our target banks. Third, a sponsorship framework that rewards firms with motivated talent in exchange for internship alerts, case-study material and shadow-day places reserved exclusively for Imperial.
