I would love to join the MM Committee as I believe I would be able to increase the reach and positive impact MM will have on ICSM. I have always been grateful for the work MM has done for the student body, and want to be able to repay the favour and help provide the same support for the future second years through this position. I will aim to ensure a large breadth of tutorials and revision material is available for the 2nd years, aiming to provide a wide range of educational resources from revision days on campus to online material and questions. I aim to liaise with the coordinators of other year groups and the VP of education to see how they approach things and integrate what works best through a collaborative manner, unafraid to ask for advice at any point. I believe I would be suitable for this position given my experience in helping to run my secondary school’s Islamic Society, where I would organise various things from ensuring the availability of student speakers to deliver the khutbah for Friday prayer as well as helping to coordinate larger scale events such as an Interfaith Iftar Auction which I ended up auctioneering. I would love the opportunity to carry out this position and aim to constantly create opportunities for feedback to be relayed so that not only I can perform a better job, but so can the people in the role ahead of me in future years.
