Hi everyone, I'm Daniel, a first year biochemistry student. As someone who values the opportunities our society provides — from academic talks to social mixers — I want to help expand what we can offer. I'm running for BiochemSoc Sponsorship Officer because I believe with the right partnerships, biochemistry students at Imperial can unlock more opportunities than ever before! Whether it's finding sponsors for our biggest annual events or simply getting pizza at revision sessions, I'm ready to make our society bigger and better funded.
If elected, I will work hard to:
- Make strong connections with sponsors by effective and prompt communication, exhibiting professionalism and responsibility representing biochemistry students at Imperial.
- Organize more career-based activities so students from all backgrounds can have the opportunity to experience a workspace environment that, as natural science students, may be very hard to get.
- Collaborate with new sponsors via direct contact, connections, meetings, and more. With new connections with BiochemSoc, I aim to increase funding and activity, supporting students academic and mental wellbeing. Having experience collaborating with companies/organizations such as UNICEF in the past, I am confident in communicating with potential new sponsors.
I believe my passion for this role and experience make me the ideal candidate for the BiochemSoc Sponsorship Officer at Imperial. I promise to work hard, communicate efficiently, and support the academic and mental wellbeing of students in this society!
