Hi everyone!

I’m Alex, and I’m running for the position of Secretary of the Computational Biology Society!

Computational biology is a vast and fascinating field — from structural modeling and genomics to systems biology, AI in healthcare, and much more. That diversity is our great strength, and I believe we should make the most of it.

As Secretary, I want to help organise talks, workshops, lectures that represent the full range of what compbio has to offer. Our prime location in London gives us the opportunity to invite speakers and collaborators from many different disciplines and I’d love to create a platform where those connections can happen.

I also believe the society has a lot of potential to grow. With such an exciting and relevant field, I am sure we can build much more visible presence on campus. I want to help spread awareness and make the society a welcoming space for anyone who wants to get involved.
