Shehzeen Alam

Hello everyone! I’m Shehzeen Alam, running to be your next Web Officer for the Teddy Bear Hospital Society.

The Web Officer role is all about managing things clearly, on time, and making them engaging. As someone who is organized and manages time efficiently, I can use the TBH website and calendar, which are always up-to-date, accurate, and easy to navigate. From school visit details and calendar entries, I will keep our members, volunteers, and school partners well informed and connected.

I also bring some relevant experience to the table. In the past, I’ve worked on website design and content curation as editor of my school’s political review and as Chair of TEDxUWCSEA. These roles taught me how to communicate ideas effectively through digital platforms and keep content dynamic and appealing.

If elected, I will focus on ensuring all information on the website is straightforward and easy to access. The ICU calendar entries and school visit details will be updated without delay. Additionally, I would love to explore new ideas like “school visit spotlight” with quotes from the children or volunteers, and an accessible resource page for new/incoming volunteers.

I believe that behind every great outreach project is an organised and well-run digital presence. I’m excited to bring energy, clarity, and creativity to the Web Officer role.
