Sara Procacci
Hi everyone!
I’m Sara, a second year Biological Sciences student, and I have really enjoyed hiking with the Fellwanderers this year. I have some really cool ideas for potential hikes next year, if you like them consider voting for me as Weekend Tours Deputy President. The Weekend Tours this year to Scotland and Wales have been amazing, but I think there’s also scope to escape English weather and go for international (and still affordable!) trips.
- The Appenines: The Alps are not the only mountain range in Italy with amazing hikes and views, and I can say this because I did my DofE camping trips in the Appenines. Flights to central Italy are often cheaper than to the North, and I know the area really well, so could find the best routes for hiking. The weather is amazing and it’s definitely worth seeing.
- Corsica. Especially for a summer trip, Corsica would be a perfect place for winding down after exams. Flights go directly from London, and has both sea and mountains. Even for a longer tour it would be a great destination.
I have great organisational skills, having organised a whole-school Charity Walk fundraiser in 2023 for the Red Cross, and I think this would really help me in this role. I also have experiences hiking tough trails. I would really appreciate if you voted for me, and would do my best to organise the Weekend tours to be as fun and cool as possible.
Thank you!
