UNICEF: Head of Marketing

Hi everyone, I'm Daniel, a 1st year biochemistry student. UNICEF's mission in child welfare and humanitarian aid is one I deeply care about, and I'm running to be the Head of Marketing because I want to amplify that mission within Imperial through storytelling, inclusive branding, or media. Whether it's an Instagram post or human rights activist panelist, I want our marketing to turn awareness into engagement into action.

What experience do you have in service?

During highschool, I volunteered on Sundays at UNICEF, teaching and organizing events for children in need in Hong Kong. Moreover, I volunteered for HK Society for the Deaf, where I also taught children with hearing disabilities, and at Sai Kung Stray Friends during COVID, a dog shelter that was on the verge of collapse due to COVID. These experiences helped me become compassionate, dedicated, and most importantly willing to put in effort to help those in need.

What are your goals? What's the proof you can do it?

I aim to expand the awareness of the mission of humanitarian aid and welfare within Imperial through innovative marketing strategies. I was a marketing manager for my clubs in highschool, raising awareness through Instagram that gained over 1.6M views, promoting positive messages. I aim to do the same at Imperial – spread our mission statement.

I also plan to help plan events such as fundraisers that promote UNICEF's values.

Vote for me so we can spread awareness, compassion, and UNICEF's mission to help the welfare of children!
