Hey everyone! I’m Nour and I’m running for the role of Conference Chair for the Transplant and Vascular Society. As someone deeply passionate about surgery, innovation, and education, I believe this role is not only about organising an event — it’s about creating a platform that inspires, educates, and connects.

It has been such a valuable and enjoyable experience being on the TVS committee in its first ever year this year, and watching it being built afresh has been very insightful. From helping run conferences and events behind the scenes, to publicity work, to building those beginning relationships with surgeons and speakers, I believe I’ve got a strong understanding of what it takes to host a successful engaging conference, and I’m confident in my ability to execute well.

I will:

Design a conference programme that brings together cutting-edge research, expert insights, and student opportunities. Topics will cover the latest in transplant innovation, vascular surgery techniques, and career pathways in both fields.

Invite leading surgeons, researchers, and clinicians to ensure an immersive, valuable experience

Work to ensure our conference is affordable and accessible to all students to hopefully inspire tomorrow’s surgeons.

Actively pursue partnerships with other societies, organisations, and sponsors.

I’m committed to making this conference not just a date in the calendar, but a highlight of the academic year.
