Hi everyone! I’m Maria,

and I’m excited to be running for Vice President of EFDS. Taking on this role is a big responsibility - one I’m ready to approach with commitment, care, and passion to make the EFDS experience richer!

As the first few cohorts, we have a real opportunity to influence our degree for the better. I’ve seen how our voices have already made a difference – raising concerns about the ML module, pushing for better teaching support, and more free Wednesdays. One of my goals is to keep encouraging this proactive environment, eliminating the need to suffer in silence when something isn’t working.

I am coming to this role with an open mind, as I am sure a lot of challenges are hard to anticipate. But what I can promise is this: I’ll treat every task with care, represent your interests honestly, and do my best to make both the academic and social experience in EFDS more rewarding, supportive, and connected.

I’ll be here to support initiatives across the year - contributing to Welcome Week if needed, collaborating with other reps, and making sure everyone feels more confident navigating the course. I recognise that our time at Imperial is just part of the bigger picture. That’s why I’ll focus on ensuring we have the right support with internships, further study, and life after university.

EFDS will keep growing and changing, and I want to make sure your voice helps shape that growth. I’d be honoured to be your VP!
