Maria Al-Sibaai

I’m really excited about the opportunity to create competitions that are both fun and challenging, and that become an integral part of the EFDS student experience. I want our competitions to give everyone the chance to explore real-world problems, apply what we’re best at doing, and maybe even discover new career interests along the way.

Some of the ideas I’d love to bring to life include a case study competition, stock pitch challenge, trading tournament, and a hackathon-style coding challenge. I’m also hoping to collaborate with other societies and industry professionals to help judge or sponsor the events.

I’m always open to new ideas and suggestions, and would gladly organise anything that is deemed popular.
