Hi, I’m Joe — Here’s Why You Should Vote for Me as CyberSoc Chair

Cybersecurity is more than just hacking tools and firewalls — it’s a growing, collaborative field full of opportunity, challenge, and community.

As Chair, I want to take CyberSoc to the next level, making it more inclusive, more exciting, and more impactful.

With your vote, I’ll help build a stronger, more active society that supports everyone — from total beginners to competition-level pros — and creates opportunities to learn, compete, and connect.

If elected, I will:

🧠 Run Weekly Casual CTF Sessions
Every week, we’ll get together to solve challenges, share skills, and learn as a team — no experience required.
🏆 Train an Imperial Cybersecurity Competition Team
Build a dedicated team to represent Imperial in national and international cybersecurity competitions.
🧩 Organise Imperial CTF 2025 (Autumn Term)
I’ll co-lead this flagship event with DocSoc — making it even better, more accessible, and more competitive.
🤓 Host engaging Lectures and talks
Allow people to learn from real industry professionals.
🥳 Launch Regular Social Events
Casual meetups, hack nights, and non-technical socials to build community and make CyberSoc a fun, welcoming place.
🗓️ Provide More Events, More Often

Whether it’s workshops, talks, or competitions, I want CyberSoc to be buzzing with regular, diverse events.

I believe CyberSoc should be a society where everyone feels empowered to learn, grow, and get involved.
