Hello fellow Computing freshers!

I'm Bert, and I'd love to be one of your Academic Representatives for 1st Year Computing!
My goal as a rep would be ensuring our voices are heard by the department, making our first year the best experience it can be, for all of us. We'll be spending a lot of our year in Computing, so I'm really keen to ensure we all enjoy the academics together.

What does an academic rep do?

• Listen. Gathering your feedback on the course (like with deadlines, tests, and more).
• Represent. Sharing these thoughts with the department in organised meetings.

That's nice, but why ME?

• Approachable and open. You can chat with me after lectures or drop me a message at any time if you have some academic feedback. I'll ensure your thoughts make it to the right people.
• Inclusive. I'll be your representative, no matter how you are finding the Computing course. I'm here to represent all of you without judgment.
• Honesty and confidence. As somebody who loves to perform music in front of crowds, I'm not afraid to speak up if something isn't right. I'll deliver your honest feedback clearly and confidently.
