Ivan Tanev

Hello Mathematicians! :)

It's been great fun speaking to as many of you as possible during these first few weeks and if we haven't spoken I'd love to go for a chat!

I'm Ivan and grew up in Bulgaria but have been living in England since I was 11. I have a huge passion for education in maths and wish to stay in academia/research in the future (not falling for the quant propaganda). I'd love to be the joining bridge between us (the students) and the lecturers/professors, since voicing our worries and concerns early and swiftly will ensure we get the best possible support.

I've had previous experience working in a sixth form as a teaching assistant, so similarly to this role I've worked closely with both the students and teachers and helped everyone get on the same page.

I'll be attending as many maths based events as possible, like Student Colloquium, so you'll for sure be seeing me around: if you ever do, dont hesitate to say hi.
