Cara Sweeney

Hey everyone, I'm Cara and I'm excited to be running for Academic Rep this year! I'm passionate about ensuring we all have the best possible experience here, and that begins with making sure every one of your voices are heard in relation to all things academic - from lectures and labs to timetabling and assessments. As Academic Rep, I would look to improve communication within the department, ensuring course material is accessible and that issues we've all encountered with scheduling and deadlines are addressed before they cause disruption. I would also work with staff to improve the current feedback system, consistency of marking and clarity of rubrics across all forms of coursework.

In what will be a challenging year, I hope to alleviate (some of) the stress involved and allow you to focus on the important things - whatever they might be ;)
