Biochemistry (UG): Year Two Academic Representative

Hey everyone! IHaving survived the rollercoaster of Year 1, I know how much our course can both inspire and overwhelm us. Between 9 am lectures, dense slides, and the occasional existential crisis in SAF, it’s clear we all want our voices to be heard and acted on.

As Academic Rep, I’ll make sure your feedback isn’t just collected - it’s implemented. My goal is to keep communication open, responses transparent, and your time here a little less chaotic.

My plans:

1) Direct feedback --> action: Collect honest input from students (through quick polls, forms, and casual chats) and make sure issues like confusing assessments or unclear deadlines get raised and resolved.

2) Assessment support: Organise revision sessions, Q&A drop-ins, and resource-sharing spaces so we go into exams feeling prepared, not panicked.

3) Real communication: Keep everyone updated after meetings with concise summaries.

Biochem can be tough - but with better dialogue, transparency, and teamwork, it can also be genuinely enjoyable.
