Hi, I'm Jess and I'm running to be your Academic Rep for the Bioengineering Stream.

I was one of your Academic Reps last year and hope to do the same again to make our final year as easy as possible.

Some of the ways I intend to do this include:
- Highlighting the anonymous feedback forms I made last year for students to bring up any academic issues without having to worry about having their name attached to the issue.
- Communicating effectively with Academic Reps across streams to ensure all students are supported with academic issues. This is something I worked hard to do last year, particularly surrounding the Signals Retake, making sure all students were able to share their opinion and use these opinions, alongside the department, to try and find the best solution.
- Engaging with lecturers, GTAs and staff to give real-time feedback regarding any issues with lectures, study groups or labs to solve any issues quickly.

I am an organised person which is very beneficial for this role. I would use these organisation skills to:
- Make detailed notes from all meetings and use these to communicate effectively with other students.
- Respond to any emails or messages from students quickly to sort out any academic issues or queries ASAP.
- Regularly update students on any progress within the department regarding issues that have been brought up, something I focused on ensuring last year.
