Hey Bioengineers! 🧬
I’m Anya Gupta, a fellow survivor of 9ams-that-start-at-9:17, lectures that jump three concepts ahead before you’ve even opened your notes, and the creeping stress of realising you didn’t quite understand that “easy” Week 2 topic… in Week 8. I’m running to be your Wellbeing Rep because I genuinely care about making things better—from mental health to managing workloads, to fixing the everyday stuff that slowly drives us all a bit mad.
If elected, I’ll work to:
- Tackle mental health stigma head-on (no more suffering due to academics in silence)
- Push for realistic deadlines and balanced workloads (because we deserve lives outside of blackboard and one-note)
-
Organise chill events where the only pressure is between choosing a biscuit or a brownie 🍪
- Actually listen and bring your concerns to the people who can fix them (and follow up until they do!)
- Advocate for clearer teaching support and revision help (so we’re not re-learning ionisation enthalpy via YouTube at 2am)
I believe everyone deserves to thrive—not just survive—at Imperial. So if you’re ready to laugh more, stress less, and be genuinely heard, vote Anya Gupta for Wellbeing Rep.
Because wellbeing isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity (and maybe also an excuse for more free food).
