Hello! My name is Chloe, and I’m a third-year medic.
This year, I’ve loved being part of RAG as Fashion Show Chair; so much that it has greatly inspired me to take my involvement further.
I have extensive experience in managing a large committee, leading one of the biggest charity events in ICSM history to success. I directed its promotion to sell out a 1.2K audience, sought generous sponsors, handled venue contracts and budgets; all whilst co-ordinating 110 models to deliver an incredible performance. This highlights my adaptable nature and strong organisational capabilities, making me suitable for the role.
I also dedicated time to assisting many other RAG events to ensure that I have a solid understanding of its calendar and the sense of community that RAG represents.
To kick-start my RAG vision, I would like to introduce a statement Freshers culture ball, a competitive IC versus ICSM RAG event and finally, push for an Inter- University RAG social. I’m hoping to liaise with other societies orientated around nurturing a hobby or skill to create a joint event. I believe these are refreshing ways to generate excitement and increase awareness of RAG beyond ICSM
As RAG Chair, I will emphasise giving back to the community being equally necessary as raising money, which is central to my goal for RAG. I aim do this through developing more personal charity relationships and building a weekly volunteering programme. I believe my plan guarantees to honour tradition and enhance the legacy RAG holds.
