Hello everyone!
I’m Dorsa and I’m running for RAG chair :) Representing you all through the RAG committee this year has truly been a great experience. One highlight of this year has been creating and launching a public health initiative "Own It," a collaborative effort with St Mary's Hospital to improve health literacy in 11-18 year olds. I've also contributed to the organisation of events such as the upcoming Cultural Ball.
Here's what I envision for our RAG society:
- Amplifying your voice: I am devoted to ensuring RAG truly represents your ideas. Regular open forums will shape RAG events, ensuring they reflect your interests. To guarantee that RAG aligns with your experiences, I aim to create a diverse committee with representatives from different student year groups.
- Community collaboration: I am dedicated to strengthening connections between Imperial RAG and the local community by expanding volunteering opportunities with local charitable organisations or community projects, fostering meaningful connections
- Diversity and innovation: Expanding beyond the traditional events, we will introduce a variety of new experiences, incorporating sports, arts, music and workshops. Simultaneously, I am committed to creating deeper connections with other societies to deliver joint events, drawing inspiration from this year's cultural ball. Together, we can create experiences that resonate with a broader audience, promoting diversity and inclusivity
- Transparent leadership: Open communication is key. I promise transparency in decision-making, regular updates, and a receptive ear to your ideas and concerns. Together, we'll shape RAG into a society that truly represents you guys! 💛❤️💙
