ICSMSU: Clubs & Societies Vice Chair - Volunteering and Academics

Hi I'm Tanya and I'm really passionate about helping out ICSM CSPs.

I have lots of experience being on committees as I am part of 8 CSP comms this year which has helped me improve my teamworking, leadership and teaching skills which I would being to the role.

In terms of academics, I am really passionate about Meded and absolutelty love to teach. This year, I have delivered 7 lectures so far with MM, Meded, ClinGenetics, PotMed and Pharmsoc for both 1st and 2nd years on topics ranging from Dev&Ageing to structural heart diseases. In my 2nd year I helped organise and promote radiology soc tutorials and this year I am a Meded PassPom crash course lead where we will organise POM tutorials for 1st years.

I also volunteered with Nutritank in my 1st year as a teaching lead and for the last 2 years I have volunteered with ICSMvision and MM PotMed teaching prospective medstudents as part of widening participation.

As someone really invested in Academics and volunteering with 1st hand experience myself, I feel that I would be in a great position to support all CSP exec members.

I would take all feedback on board, am willing to organise support meetings and will always reply to messages! I would love to be on SU and support you next year - I know how frustrating dealing with unions and adminstration can sometimes be and I hope to help streamline this process and make life a little easier.
