Hi Everyone!

My name is Vineet and I am a second-year Chemistry student. I am keen to run for the External Relations Officer for this year, and am excited to bring my ideas and passion to the table; as well as listening to your ideas and increasing access to the legal profession.

About Me

Imperial's Law Society is what inspired me to pursue a career in law, from the workshops and networking sessions which I had the opportunity to attend from my first year! Since then, I have been fortunate to attend workshops, open days and events with numerous other firms and had amazing opportunities to network and hear first-hand from trainees what the profession entails - including an understanding of different practice areas. Now, I'm really enthusiastic to give back and increase access to the legal profession, for STEM students at Imperial.

My Objectives

- Imperial has great connections with a mix of Magic Circle and Silver Circle law firms; there have also been some insightful workshops with many firms. My first intention is to maintain these relationships so that next year, and each year after, students can benefit from these events.

- I'm really passionate about social mobility and BAME access into the legal profession; I'm interested to partner with charities so that we could hold a panel of trainees from different firms, regarding their experience in the application process as a socially mobile candidate.

- Increase ICLS's alumni connections with IP and US law firms

- Provide access to commercial awareness resources
